Also a fun one to record-the guys really liked this one when I tracked it for them. Hector’s drumming is great on this one. I got to break out my Marshall and Les Paul for recording the rhythm and used a ’69 Guild Starfire with a phaser for all the lead parts - Dan used his ’76 Fender Super Reverb Amp and a Les Paul Special. I think all the guitars sound pretty fucking awesome on this track! And Mike’s bass, whoah! ’72 Jazz Bass through and old Fender bass amp. We really went vintage with all the tools and toys when we recorded it. It does have that 70’s kinda swagger, I think. Lyrically, it’s a song about insecurity. You just want to feel like that other person loves you, but you’re never really sure…on the verge, but not there yet…
